Gentleman Ring Farmer

I’m working on Wendy & Justin’s August 10th Wedding tonight and came upon these great shots of our little Ring Bearer Wyatt Cooper. Wyatt and I were shooting pictures of Wendy and her ladies with this great old tractor out in Van Etten prior to the Wedding Ceremony at “Charlies Swamp” in Alpine, NY. Great Job Wyatt Buddy, Thanks for your help!~

Dust In The Wind….

Friday…. it was a long, fun & special day. Up at 7:00 am believe  it or not…..out at 8:30 & off to a HUGE Estate Sale – to sell everything from the house in which my friends Jason, Angela & Clara spent so many years in – The house had been in their Maternal Grandfather’s Mother’s family –  they are assuming it was somewhere around 200 years – a lot of generations of people in one family who never really moved things out – just found places to store the things that currently weren’t being used. As my tribute to my above mentioned friends, today I took this journey through time, with my camera lens to my eye, as I ventured to capture a few telling images of these items. Items frozen in time for ages…….un-earthed & brought out and into the brilliant sunlight of today, to be found, claimed & enjoyed in the future by new owners. Enjoy!

Frogs on the Wall

I was out watering the pompous grass in front of the Office Sunday afternoon & I thought I saw something weird. Upon further inspection I saw that I had a little toad attached about four feet off the ground, to the cinder block wall of the 211 Studio. Must be he just wanted to “hang out” in the shade with all the Pink Flamingos!!!! I never even disturbed his nap!

RB1_7468ADJ  …..& some totally useless information from my buddy Donny Blide,  renowned Frog Expert!
Nice pic. It’s not a toad like u described in the blog. It’s a green or gray tree frog. Can’t remember which. They have suction cups on their toes and can walk up a glass window. I guarantee, even though you may have never seen one, you have heard them. I’ll send u a link when I get home. I fine like one or two per summer….I kept one for a summer. They are amazing for the fact that they can be frozen solid for days on end with no I’ll effect!”

Father’s Day Memories

I spent late this afternoon at Eldridge Park with Tara & Mark, one of my couples whose Wedding I shared last October. Today we were joined by their boys Angel and little Sebastian, who hopefully & at the same time unwittingly created some magical Father’s Day memories for recall later on in their lives…..of that special Father’s Day, that day when they shared their very first spin on the Eldridge Park Carousel with Mom & Dad.

PS: Note to Photographers:  Always come to your shoot armed with Tootsie-Pops, they work great for bribing reluctant portrait subjects, and as you can see in the last image,  the associated sugar high really got this little Angel flying!!! Not to mention his making a great new friend with his best new buddy with all the Tootsie Pops….. Mr. Photographer!!!! 🙂

Satisfied Customer…..Again!

“Hi Rick,
The pictures are perfect…thank you!  Katelyn had a wonderful time during the photo shoot and I really appreciated your willingness to take the time for outfit changes, we never felt rushed.  More importantly you encouraged her to have fun, express her own idea, these are some of my favorite pictures.  The pictures are beautiful and I can not wait to display them.
Karry D  ”

Never in a Rush…….. Just Be Yourself….. and Let’s Have Some Fun!  That’s always my game plan, & it Just Works!
Call me to set up YOUR personal Portrait session!  Rick

“The Kingmaker”

I’m known (at least to myself!) as, The Kingmaker!
I have the unbelievable distinction of having EVERY SINGLE POLITICAL CANDIDATE that I have ever had the pleasure to shoot their Portrait, WIN their respective elections! EVERY ONE! From nationally known… NYS Senator Hillary Clinton & NY Governor Eliott Spitzer, to many local Judges, Mayors, State & U.S. Congressmen, a State Senator, local D.A.’s. And I even shot some great candids of President Obama & Mexican President Felipe Calderon at the White House in May 2010. One of the coolest days of my life I might add!
Not Bad at all!  Perhaps you should have given me a call there….. Mitt!

So step right up Rodney, & keep “The Kingmaker’s” winning streak going…….Here’s your next winner folks!

I got to meet little Ellie, Drew, and new twin arrivals Cal & Caroline! We all had a great time this Crisp, Fall Afternoon up at Sperr Park, and we captured some great memories along the way! Enjoy!

My Saturday Afternoon With Tiffany – “The Eyes Have It!” 10/22/11

This late October Shoot was such a blast for both of us! For me, I got to finally shoot with Tiffany whom I know through volunteering my Photography talent and services with the American Cancer Society, which is where Tiffany works. We have both worked together at the ACS Relay For Life events in Horseheads the past few years, and from the first time that I saw them, I always thought that Tiff had the most Incredible Eyes. That Steel Silver/Blue color is so incredible to look at, and was really amazing as captured in these fun shots taken around Horseheads on this Beautiful Fall Saturday Afternoon in October. Thanks Tiff for being such an incredible model, and I look forward to shooting together again soon!
