To Start off yesterday’s great Fall Sunday Wedding Day of Amber & Andy – 10/09/11, I joined our Groom & about a dozen of his fellow warriors in Ashland, for my first Paintball Experience! These Guys are Hard Core! Camouflage Underwear….Really? What a great morning to be in the woods too! It was about 70 degrees, the blanket of fallen leaves already on the ground was dry, the brilliant sunshine above was just streaming through the tall, colorful trees, while the leaves were falling all over the place. At the end of our epic battle I gathered all the warriors together across this woodland stream, while I got down into the creek bed rocks while keeping my D3S just above the running waters of that Babbling Brook. I shot this wide angle shot of the boys, with the sunshine at their backs, just as they started shooting their remaining paintballs into the air. They began bursting open once they hit the branches above & soon it was raining yellow paint on us all!
This shot reminds me of a jungle shot you saw in Apocalypse Now, Hamburger Hill or Platoon! What a cool way to start this great day!

For all you non-believers….I was actually at First Arena @ 7:30 A.M. this Monday Morning setting up for my 8:30 shoot! Got the new boys all shot, along with some of the staff and a bit of training camp action. Here’s a small taste…and something cool too. This season we have a couple of new Account Exec’s in the Front Office and they are Identical Twins! Calm down boys….THEY ARE GUYS! Justin & Michael Karpowich from Atlanta! Robbie say’s he “found them in Vegas!” Welcome to the Jackals Family Boys! Guys, I’ll tell you, I’m terrible with names as it is….so I’m NOT EVEN GOING TO TRY to remember who is who! Get some NAME TAGS, will ya?!!! And finally, a Hometown Horseheads guy….our new Head Athletic Trainer (white shirt) Jeff Andrews.

Got up Early this Rainy Sunday Morning and drove up to Corning to be at the Finish Line for the 2011 Wineglass Marathon, and to cheer our friends Kristin & Melinda on to the successful completion of their first marathon runs! When Melinda crossed the line, I asked how Kristin could have beaten her….that’s when she gave me the Raspberry!
Also, for those of you who know me….I am NOT a morning person! My motto is that I get to the Studio each day at the “Crack of NOON!” So this was pretty special to be up @ 8:00 A.M. on a Sunday Morning. So, if you need any visual evidence of my early morning incompetence…. please be sure to check out the final image! As I was standing there in the rain, drinking my coffee, I happened to look down & noticed my unique selection of footwear for this morning’s event!! 🙂
And to make it even worse, I’ve got to be up early again tomorrow morning for a 8:30 A.M. Jackals Players Training Camp Headshot Shoot @ First Arena! OMG….UP BEFORE 10:00 TWO DAYS IN A ROW! HAVE THE COFFEE GOING BOYS!!!!
And Kristin, I’m sorry that I couldn’t come up with one for you…..but I wrote a poem for Melinda:
