“Mister Dead”

Last months Cornell University Wedding Bride & Groom, Jessica & Joe, are a couple of Cornell Veterinary School Graduates. So after the Ceremony on that cold,  snowy & blowy afternoon we made a quick visit to the beautiful Veterinary Sciences Facility, and once inside I was able to add one more very unique way of shooting a Bridal Party, to my already long list of prior experiences…….this time while posing with a complete Horse Skeleton!

THEN to top things off right before we were ready to leave…… It looks like Joe LOST THE CAR KEYS!!!

11/23/12 Jackals vs. South Carolina…I Just Love This Shot!

Every once in a while during a hockey game you get that one shot where EVERYTHING is just perfect. Here we have Chaz Johnson #98, at just the right angle balancing on his stick as he turns up ice, with his legs just a pumping, right along with 3 of his team mates in the background, all with clear full facial views, & all their uniform numbers are un-obstructed….you can just FEEL the action in this shot!

CAGE RAGE! The Art of Combat @ First Arena

ELMIRA, N.Y. – First Arena, along with USA MMA and Power of One Sport MMA and Fitness, announced today that “Art of Combat II” is coming to First Arena on November 10, 2012.

Action from Art of Combat I “‘Art of Combat I’ was an extremely successful event with a fantastic crowd in the stands and thrilling action in the ring. I couldn’t be more happy to bring ‘Art of Combat II’ to the fight fans in the Twin Tiers,” said First Arena general manager Matt Hufnagel.

Returning for “Art of Combat II” is main event winner from “Art of Combat I” Dickie White. White, who hails from Binghamton, New York, is 5-0 and ranked as the top amateur lightweight (155 pounds) by NorthEastMMA.net.

Sandy Arrives in Maple Grove…

Shot this at about 3:00 this afternoon as Frankenstorm Hurricane Sandy really arrived in our area with heavy rain, and the  gusts of blowing winds kicking up leaves along the dirt paths of our local Village of Horseheads Burial Ground.

End of the Evening @ The HillTop Inn.

As tonight’s great Wedding wound up @ Elmira’s HillTop Inn,  our Bride Tara & Her Ladies needed “One More For The Road” but only under the watchful eye of our friendly Irish Proprietor & Owner Mike Sullivan! Mark the Groom, & his Groomsman Gregg obviously had other ideas! Women!!!!

Studio Cleaning Afflicts Me With A Case of “Romnesia!”

Despite it being an Absolutely Beautiful Late Fall Upstate NY Afternoon,  I finally got around to doing a little cleaning & re-arranging of my storage & utility room here at the 211 Studio. I hoed out a lot of stuff that I haven’t used in ages, then, hauled it across Horseheads & over to our Old Barn/Warehouse, and while upstairs amidst all of the dust & the “Piles of Time” I happened upon an old metal toy that I used to play with way back in the early 1960’s. I was amazed at how timely this thing still was, because as soon as I spotted it, I felt a little bit like Mitt Romney…WITH MY OWN CAR ELEVATOR!!!!  I then started feeling Really Snobbish & Forgetful, and all at once I knew that indeed,  I had come down with a severe case of Stage 3 ROMNESIA!
Don’t worry ……it will clear up & be long gone after November 6th!
