“Jeepy Grape Graffiti”

Across North Main St. from my 211 Studio in Horseheads NY, is an old railroad track siding/spur that is still used today by the Host Company that supplies fracking sand to local fracking sites. They are always moving freight cars filled with sand in and out as they empty or load the sand into or from their warehouses. From a distance I noticed some bright Graffiti on this one car while walking my dog, and as I got closer I saw how beautiful this one car was painted!  So I grabbed the camera, shot some neat images of the sand hopper car, then I drove my 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited over & parked right next to it for these Super Shots! As my hero David Letterman always likes to say…”There is No OFF Position on the Genius Switch!”

Leave It To Beaver!

While walking Seneca over the past half year we often stroll the grounds of the Horseheads Fire Department, out in the back lot near the remains of the old Chemung Canal. During the Summer I noticed this one huge old tree by the Canal, and that all the bark at its base was being scraped or scratched off all the way around. I hadn’t paid much attention to it since……that is until yesterday! Man Oh Man…. have Bucky Beaver & His Buddies Been Busy over the Holidays!!! I am absolutely amazed at how much of the base of this tree has been chewed down, to the point soon where this massive tree is going to fall down, either into the Canal, or possibly onto the Fire Department Storage Barn that is located very close to this tree. And what’s really cool is that these chips that cover the ground are HUGE, nothing like sawdust, but more so the size of large potato chips! On the Close Up, you can actually see the imprint of the Little Beaver Teeth….Pretty Amazing!

All Aboard!!!

Last scan of the night….year unknown, A Lehigh Valley Train with Engine # 25454 at the Horseheads, NY  RR Station. You can just see the “…EADS” on the sign hanging from the center of the stations rafters. Neat Shot!
