“Forever Run….”

Well, for being born the runt of her litter with a heart murmur, and because of that all of the Vets we spoke to told us not to expect her to live more than 5-7 years.  So with everything seemingly going against her, our little baby girl outlived ALL of her siblings and made it to 15 years and almost one week. Over the weekend though, she had some neurological setbacks which took away her ability to walk, as well as a few other major issues, so today at High Noon, on this Spectacularly Gorgeous Fall Day in October, we helped our little girl get back on her Forever Feet, Gave her Kisses & Big Hugs, and Set Her Free to Romp and Play once again! You’ll always be our Special Little Chloe Girl! xoxo

Bombs Away! – The American Bombshells Take Flight

What a great way to get warmed up for my November 14th gig with 55 local Heroes, when we all fly down to Washington to take these boys on what most likely will be their last visit to the monuments honoring their heroic service to our country. Tonight’s fundraiser at the Horseheads Legion was highlighted by the incredible “American Bombshells” Singing Troupe out of Brooklyn, NYC. These three gals were a great treat to our senses of both sight & sound! They sure did make those nicely tailored ’40’s Military Costumes look mighty fine indeed, and their singing wasn’t bad either! But the thing that far surpassed both their visual and audio effect on everyone, was their genuine care for, respect and affection that they all showed while meeting and chatting with these grizzled old Veterans between their sets and after the show. They laughed, and chatted, and smiled with these guys, and I’m certain that by simply doing so, brought so many of these old boys back to life again tonight, when they felt once again like they did when they were young and in their prime, fighting for our country in some far away land! Prime Time!

Shadowplay

Tonight’s corporate gig for The Rockwell Museum @ the Corning Museum of Glass Auditorium, entailed shooting the welcoming reception for National Geographic Photographer Peter McBride. Tremendous work! You’ve got to get to the Rockwell to see his work!
This shot from his fine exhibit & also tonight’s slideshow presentation to well over 500 people is so cool…you look at it fast and at first your brain just doesn’t quite get what’s going on here……shot straight down from an airplane above….the dark horses are actually the SHADOWS of the white & brown horses standing just beneath and to the right of each of them. isn’t that cool?
I had the pleasure to chat with Peter this morning, as well as tonight & found out he is a fellow Nikon shooter, very cool, and that as I suspected, he lost one body and was constantly battling against the never ending problems of SAND IN EVERYTHING during his four year adventure as he photographed the secret wonders of the mighty Colorado River!
