NY RANGERS vs. BUFFALO SABRES – Gallery #1 – 12/01/16 Pre-Game Warm Ups

Catching some breathing room with my Wedding editing to finally get started on my RANGERS/SABRES shoot from a few weeks ago. Here are the beginning of a lot of Great Images….the NY RANGERS getting loose underneath the stands as they always do before each game. It’s either with a Volleyball or a Soccer or Hand Ball. I was particularly surprised seeing Rick Nash. On the Ice he is such a huge, dominating figure, but here he really didn’t seem that big, but man…look at the strength in his legs.

Political Vandalism Strikes the 211 Studio!!

Back in September of this year I posted a Blog/Pix detailing my latest creative Art Project that I was working on here at the 211 Studio. It was a Reproduction of some Tired, Old, Weathered, Rusty Iron RR Bridge Girders from the 1800’s, that I installed as the middle archway of my Client Lounge/Meeting area. So with the turn of events over the last month, it was just a matter of time before some new, creative Political Graffiti would make it’s appearance on ‘The Bridge”, and here it is! I can’t wait to try it out for real on a full size Bridge or RR Boxcar very soon!!!  20161207-rb1_5981

I Just Couldn’t Wait!

While working on a Wedding after getting back from tonight’s Rehearsal, I JUST HAD TO take a peek & dip my toe into last night’s NHL RANGERS shoot. I didn’t have to dip too deep… from the very first play of the game, Rangers Forward Chris Kreider carries the puck to the net at full speed with a Buffalo defender attached to him, that is until #20 Takes Flight!

Guess you can’t ever start too young…

The Mack Pack…

I just shot Billy & Alyssa’s Wedding this May, and I was one of The First, The Few, The SWORN to SECRECY (sounds like the Marines!) to find out that they are going to be Parents Soon! So the plan was that before they spilled the beans to EVERYONE ELSE, that we were going to do a Baby Announcement Shoot. So with really great weather for the end of November, just yesterday we shot these Fun Pix around Horseheads. I just LOVE the Swamp ones too …..Just Love how I can make even a Crappy, Brown, Dead Swamp look Great as a Background. Guess THAT’S why I’ve been doing this job Full Time for Nearly Eighteen Years & Counting!

and…………. Can’t wait to meet Mini Mack!

I Just SEE Things…

Just another example of some of the things that I happen to SEE, things that catch my eye as I am shooting a Wedding. During the Ceremony, over the Maid of Honor’s Shoulder, the Colors, Form & Light just caught my eye as well as my Imagination for this unique shot.
And Then…..there are The Hands in that Momentary Burst of Sunlight…almost like the Sun was Spotlighting the Awesome Moment that was taking place in the room.
THESE things are what my Clients Love!

Matt

I nice shot of our Groom Matt, from a fun Wedding back in August up at the Hope Lake Lodge @ Greek Peak.
He looks quite at ease wearing that new Wedding Ring! Congrats Buddy!

211 Studio Rivets & Rust

For years I’ve always loved the great look of ancient, old  Rusted Iron Railroad Bridges. That Rust combined with Millions of Hand Set Rivets, Pounded into place well over 100 years ago. I’ve used my favorite bridge for numerous photo shoots (first 2 pics), and recently I’ve noticed on the newly renovated MSNBC Studios Set, where they now have exposed some of the very same structural Beams & Girders, and you now frequently  see them in the background of the  newsroom. That gave me an idea…. I always like to try to push & expand my artistic abilities, so here’s the latest in my ongoing Studio Personalization.
This is my Client Lounge, where I meet with Clients & chat about their Weddings or Portrait Shoots. What was once just a plain wallboard separation between these two sections of the room, they are now part of my very own rusty old tribute to these great old structures.
I then thought….whats an old beat up bridge in the middle of nowhere, without some Graffiti? So I thought for a bit and added a few select, important, recognizable  symbols & lettering that were common & meaningful during my lifetime, and THAT really brought this thing to life!  Pretty cool, isn’t it??? GET OFF THE TRACKS! HERE COMES THE TRAIN!”

Our Attention is….Riveted

I always love the look of this old Railroad Bridge, and what’s cool too is knowing that my Grand Dad worked for the very same D. L. & W. Railroad that built & used this bridge.
Soft & Pretty + Old, Iron & Rusty = Always a Winner!
