Political Vandalism Strikes the 211 Studio!!

Back in September of this year I posted a Blog/Pix detailing my latest creative Art Project that I was working on here at the 211 Studio. It was a Reproduction of some Tired, Old, Weathered, Rusty Iron RR Bridge Girders from the 1800’s, that I installed as the middle archway of my Client Lounge/Meeting area. So with the turn of events over the last month, it was just a matter of time before some new, creative Political Graffiti would make it’s appearance on ‘The Bridge”, and here it is! I can’t wait to try it out for real on a full size Bridge or RR Boxcar very soon!!!  20161207-rb1_5981

This Guy……………………. Bringin’ ‘Merica….& a Beer!

So, there we were at yesterday’s  great Wedding of Rita & Seth at the beautiful Belhurst Castle  in Geneva, NY. After the ceremony, we’re doing the family shots out by the lake, and as things are winding down, & just when we need him…..here comes THIS GUY!  Afghanistan-U.S. Army Veteran Mike…..U.S. Flag & all!  C’Mon fellow Wedding Shooters……you KNOW who I mean! THAT GUY, who simply by his exploding presence, just by his simply being there brightens up the whole damn affair and kicks us all up a gear or two! So with a great new & meaningful prop, our military bridal party full of Iraq & Afghanistan Vets, REALLY shows us how to get it done!!!
And after the shoot was done, I swear I last saw our Beach Boy Mike, looking for his Seneca Lake Surf Board!

Four Years Ago Today…

I just realized after glancing at the Calendar that it was four years ago yesterday & today that Shelly & I  were honored to be guests at The White House while shooting my most incredible Engagement Session ever! To roam the halls of the White House while shooting Mary & David……the feeling just can’t be explained! Then to top that, we received an Invitation to the Formal Welcoming Ceremonies for the Mexican President, all being held the next day out on the White House South Lawn. Never in a Million Years would I have ever dreamed I’d have this chance to shoot at the most famous residence in the world! 🙂

Dallas ’63 Remembered………. Fifty Years Later.

In 1994 we visited my good buddy Mick Lowman & his wife Denise at their home just outside Dallas, Texas. While there Mick showed us all the sites related to JFK’s Assassination. Dealy Plaza, the School Book Depository (now “The Sixth Floor JFK Museum”), the Texas Theater where Oswald was captured, and finally good ole’ Lee -O’s final resting place.

Mick was so proud to have found the grave, as it’s location was never published or really made public knowledge…but Mick made it his personal Mission From God to find it. Whenever he had a chance, he drove from cemetery to cemetery, looking, striking up conversations with groundskeepers until finally one old boy wouldn’t tell him exactly where the site was, but gave Mick a few clues and BINGO….the Promised Land! Here I am, laying down & resting for a bit with Lee-O.

Interesting little side note, that as the word got out as to where the burial site was located, Cemetery officials worried about the possibility of the grave being plundered some day. I can’t remember the exact year this was done, but to thwart that possible outcome the Cemetery dug up the casket, dug the hole much deeper than usual, replaced the coffin and then poured a few dump truck loads of concrete on top of it. So short of someone using a nuclear warhead to exhume ole Lee-O…..He aint’t goin’ anywhere for a long, long time!

Today hell, all you have to do is Google it and there are the EXACT GPS coordinates below.

Rest in Peace JFK……Fifty years Later.

If you are ever in Dallas/Ft. Worth & want to go spend some quiet time & visit Lee-O:

My Night @ The Mu”Z”eum…

Tonight’s Gig was the “Music & Margaritas” event @ The Rockwell Museum in Corning, and as luck would have it I ran into this infamous celebrity. Guess he heard there were lots of guns on display. I’m really glad that it was so hot out this evening, or else I may have been wearing my HOODIE…….Rutt Row!!!
Also, I just noticed the buildings in the background….they kinda look like a Prison Guard Tower….Just Sayin’.

“The Kingmaker”

I’m known (at least to myself!) as, The Kingmaker!
I have the unbelievable distinction of having EVERY SINGLE POLITICAL CANDIDATE that I have ever had the pleasure to shoot their Portrait, WIN their respective elections! EVERY ONE! From nationally known… NYS Senator Hillary Clinton & NY Governor Eliott Spitzer, to many local Judges, Mayors, State & U.S. Congressmen, a State Senator, local D.A.’s. And I even shot some great candids of President Obama & Mexican President Felipe Calderon at the White House in May 2010. One of the coolest days of my life I might add!
Not Bad at all!  Perhaps you should have given me a call there….. Mitt!

So step right up Rodney, & keep “The Kingmaker’s” winning streak going…….Here’s your next winner folks!
