Jackals vs. The Reading Royals 03/30/12

Elmira, N.Y. – The Elmira Jackals (45-22-2-2) took over first place in the Eastern Conference entering the final day of the regular season, battling back from a two-goal deficit to defeat the Reading Royals (35-28-4-4) in overtime, 3-2, in front of a sold-out crowd at First Arena on Friday night. Elmira, N.Y. – The Elmira Jackals (38-21-2-2) set a franchise record in ECHL competition with their 22nd home-ice victory of the season on Saturday night at First Arena, defeating the Toledo Walleye (26-29-2-4), 5-1. The Elmira Jackals (31-19-2-2) earned their league-leading ninth win of the season when trailing after two periods and 20th comeback victory overall on Wednesday night, marching back with four third-period goals to defeat the Greenville Road Warriors (31-19-2-2), 5-3, at First Arena. The Elmira Jackals overcame a two-goal deficit in the third period on Friday night in front of a sellout crowd at First Arena, scoring three goals in the opening 8:26 of the final frame and defeating the Wheeling Nailers, 3-2. The Elmira Jackals return home after a seven-game road trip when they welcome the Wheeling Nailers to First Arena at 7:05 p.m on 4-for-$44 night. The Jackals snapped a tie with the Nailers for first place in the Atlantic Division on Wednesday, jumping into sole possession of the top spot with a 3-2 win in overtime in Wheeling. Rise & Shine It’s JACKALS Time!

For all you non-believers….I was actually at First Arena @ 7:30 A.M. this Monday Morning setting up for my 8:30 shoot! Got the new boys all shot, along with some of the staff and a bit of training camp action. Here’s a small taste…and something cool too. This season we have a couple of new Account Exec’s in the Front Office and they are Identical Twins! Calm down boys….THEY ARE GUYS!  Justin & Michael Karpowich from Atlanta! Robbie say’s he “found them in Vegas!”  Welcome to the Jackals Family Boys! Guys, I’ll tell you, I’m terrible with names as it is….so I’m NOT EVEN GOING TO TRY to remember who is who!
